Check us out on facebook at Elevate Ministries. If you join this group you will get Facebook announcements for the Homeless BBQ. We'll be hanging out with our homeless friends in the D. Notice this is a time WITH the homeless, not for. An opportunity to meet and hang out with some people who are very different than us and maybe in some ways, not so different. Let’s go show some love and have a Winter Christmas Party with a part of our family that’s been neglected for far too long. We'll be meeting at Kensington in Troy at 12 to carpool. Kensington is located on the Northwest corner of Square Lake & John R. Some of the groups are also meeting up to carpool from their perspective churches. Or if it's easier to meet us down there, we should be in Detroit around 1:00. We'll be meeting at the corner of 2nd & Selden. As Dorothy Day said, "If you have two coats, one of them belongs to the poor." In case of rain (it's Michigan, it's always possible), don't assume it's canceled.

Summer of Praise is a brand new program starting June 11 and going until August 6 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Plymouth Michigan. This summer, everyone under 35 is invited to join us every Thursday at 7pm for an evening of Praise & Worship, Prayer, a guest speaker, and an activity afterward! Why don't you take a little time this summer to find out how to make Ordinary Time EXTRAORDINARY?! SUMMER OF PRAISE will be happening at OLGC's old parish house (aka "The Mansion") which is located next to the parish office at 1062 Church St. Plymouth, MI. Catholic Young Adult Soccer's Mission Statement is: We are a group of Christian Young Adults who come together for fellowship and to compete in Christian Charity. It is through our personal sportsmanship that we witness Christ living in us.
