Ignite Young Adult Ministry now includes the 84 parishes of the Northwest Wayne Vicariate, Western Wayne Vicariate, Downriver Vicariate and Monroe Vicariate. In addition, we now have two college campuses that are part of our ministry, Schoolcraft College and Monroe County Community College. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer and saving lives through research, education, advocacy and service. The society was founded in 1913 and since then has invested in over $4 billion in research and boasts over 3 million volunteers. Funding for the free support programs, patient resource call center and community outreach is largely due to the signature fundraising event, Relay For Life. Relay is a team based walking event designed to celebrate survivorship, remember those lost to cancer and unite the community in its efforts to fight back against cancer.
