BBQs - At a park in Detroit, hanging out with our homeless friends. Notice this is a time WITH the homeless, not for. This is an opportunity to meet and hang out with some people who are very different than us and maybe in some ways, not so different. We are all God’s little kids… brothers and sisters in Christ. Let’s go show some love and have a family BBQ with a part of the bride of Christ that’s been neglected for far too long. BBQs are a great chance to see the Kingdom of God in action. Every month the park at 2nd & Selden becomes a place to see the Church being the Church. The point is to simply make new friends and show people the love of Jesus. No strings attached... we just want to hang out, have fun and love.

We are now focusing on the BBQs in Detroit as they continue to grow and have now multiplyed to every week! Elevate's Homeless BBQs are at 2nd & Selden on every Saturday of the month starting at 1pm (carpools leave at 12 or 12:30 depending on where the carpool originates from - fill out the form below if you are interested in carpooling from Livonia with Ignite).

The BBQs are a coordinated effort put together by Elevate Ministries along with CrossCurrent (from Bethesda), quarterLife (from Kensington), Communitas (from Kensington), two28 (from Cornerstone Baptist), Bethany Baptist, Watershed (from Faith Lutheran), the Catholic Young Adult Ministry, Orchard Ridge Church, Genesis the Church, The Stand (from Highland Park Baptist), REAL Church, Axiom (from Kensington) and Panera Bread.
